old 1895 Pace Woven Wire Fence Co, farm fence stretcher

Primitive antique mechanical fence wire stretcher from an old farm estate. This tool is marked "Pace Woven Wire Fence Co - Pat June 13 1895". This old fencing tool helps you pull the fence wire tight while you attach the wire to the posts. It has a mechanical double ratchet and paul system that is offset by about 1/2 tooth to allow you to slowly and easily pull the wire tight.
