Vintage Revere kettle, all copper, with silvery tin finish inside and out. This has a nice old homey feel, this must have been used daily, to boil water for much more than just tea! It holds 18 cups (4 1/2 quarts), enough hot water to add to the laundry or for washing up, a bath for baby, or whatever else might be needed during the day.
This has seen a lot of use, though the tin was lovingly kept brightly polished. (The tinning is worn from scrubbing on the exterior bottom of the kettle, and also is showing a few worn areas to the interior as well, with the copper visble in traces underneath.) It has dings and dents all over, though is water tight and has no holes or leaks. The wooden handle looks fine, but the wood knob on the lid is cracked and a little bit loose.
