Mid 1800s vintage hand-painted copper luster china cube sugar bowl, sadly, missing it's cover, also very shabby, with chips, cracks, and discoloration. Measures 6" long x 4" tall.
It's a good early piece, made for the English market (no marks for export, although this is almost certainly from a England pottery). Staffordshire, at first we thought, but the more we look at the bright painted design, the more we think it might be Welsh! It's a charming old thing, whichever it is.
