1930s vintage pottery dinnerware with green grass on creamy ivory background - we love this pattern, the country grasses, the restful colors. It's Leigh pottery, marked Leigh Ware on the back.
The entire set has crazing, and many pieces have some browning and discoloration as well. We wouldn't hesitate to use this set, but it doesn't look anything like new, it's showing it's age.
There are six each of 9 3/4" dinner plates, 6 1/4" dessert or bread and butter plates (one has a chip to the rim), 5 1/4" fruit bowls (one has a hairline), and six cup and saucer sets. There's also a handful of serving pieces - a 12 3/4" diameter round serving plate (a cake or chop plate), a round vegetable bowl, and a gravy boat.
