1890s antique book Heroines of New England Romance, gold & white art binding

1890s vintage book 'Three Heroines of New England Romance' with a lovely, romantically styled cover! Creamy white with gold, this is so pretty.

Our heroines include Priscilla (probably the first recorded heroine of 'New England'), Agnes Surriage (a tavern maid turned English noblewoman through marriage), and Martha Hilton (Wentworth, who again married very well - kind of a theme going on here). Book has a little wear but is complete, very readable yet.
