hand embroidered hemstitched linen placemats & napkins, 60s vintage Madeira or Italian handwork

Set of beautiful hand stitched ivory linen placemats and napkins, 60s vintage - brought back from a trip to Italy, possibly from Madeira? These have been used, and we found no markings or labels on any of these pieces.

They were used very little, and have been carefully cared for over the last 50 years - these look good overall, and you have to have very keen eyes to see the few spots!

There's eight place mats 16 12/" x 10 1/2", and eight napkins 16" square. These will make such a lovely table setting.
