vintage sewing thread on wood spool reels, pure silk & Sylko type mercerized cotton

Nice lot of old wood spool sewing thread, right out of an old estate here in Wisconsin. These are beautifully colored cotton and silk threads, most spools about 1 1/4" tall. There's some full or nearly full, some empty or nearly empty. Great for crafting, or altered art projects, or just to display in bowls or jars!

The tin is 1940s, and we'd guess that the thread is 1930s, 1940s, 1950s. The tin is worn, and measures about 8 3/4" x 5 1/2" overall. The tin and all thread is shown altogether in the first photo.
