Primitive old fence stretcher for barbed wire from an old farm estate. This fencing tool is marked "Whitesel Mfg Co - Omaha, Nebr - Pat Sept 7th 1915". This is used to pull the fence wire tight while working on the fence, splicing the wire, attaching the wire to the posts etc..

It measures about 22 inches long This is in good condition with a patina of age to the iron and some light rust. The spring loaded jaws that clamp the wire are all free to move.
