Vintage mid-century housebuilder, carpenter or woodworker's tool, an adjustable metal T-square, a "Squangle" made by Mayes, Johnson City, Tenn. It is marked with a patent number from 1966. This tool is also marked for "Hip and Valley Rafters". It measures about 13" long and 8" wide across the cross piece. It is in nice vintage condition.
