Here's a pair of vintage shelf brackets, stainless steel, we think, under the very chippy old white paint! These measure 6" tall over the bracket, 8 1/2" deep inside the turned up front edge to the wall. The paint is just falling off all over, so these should be very easy to clean up down to the original finish.
