Covered dish or vegetable bowl with lid, vintage Bavaria china (marked H & Co. Heinrich Anmut - Selb - Bavaria - Germany). This is marked as Standard Pattern for U.S. Air Force. The inside of the lid is marked "The shapes of this pattern were awarded the gold medal Tri-Annual Exposition IX Milan".
The bowl is 8 3/4" in diameter, and is in excellent shape, I don't think this was ever used.
