19th century vintage English transferware porcelain fruit bowl, marked Davenport, stamped with a small anchor mark. This came to us with a note stating that this piece dates to the 1830's, and from what we know of it's history we expect it was made for export to America.
The dish has a 10 1/2" bowl diameter, and measures 12 1/4" across the handles. There are no chips, cracks, crazing, spotting or age related discoloration. It's in remarkably excellent condition for it's age, with wear to the gold trim being the only defect.
