We're not sure of the exact age as there is no printed date, but this has a name and address in Freeport, Illinois (the heart of Pennsylvania Dutch country in Illinois) dated 1912 in the front endpaper. A great look into the world of Pennsylvania Dutch superstition and hexes!
The binding seems tight, but there is wear and soil to the cover and the boards and spine have some mouse chewing and there is a price tag on the front endpaper.
