Antique old primitive hand cranked grinding wheel from an old Wisconsin farm estate. This would have been used to sharpen tools, knives, scissors & shears and fix implements around the farm. This is made by the Crescent Tool Co (founded in 1907) and is marked "Crescent" on the gear box and has a wood handle on the crank. The grinding wheel is aluminum-oxide and measure about 5 inches across. The grinder measures about 9 inches high overall. The mounting clamp will fit a work bench or table top about 2" thick.
This is dirty and greasy from years in a tool shed and has a patina of age to the iron.
