Old primitive hand crank grinding wheel from an old farm estate. This grinder would have been used to sharpen tools, knives, scissors & shears and fix implements around the farm in the days before widespread rural electricity and electric grinders. This has a wood handle on the hand crank. The grinding wheel is aluminum-oxide and measure about 5 1/2 inches across. The grinder measures about 11 inches high overall. It is made to clamp on a work bench or table top about 2" thick. The clamp has been repaired long ago.
This is dirty and greasy from years in a tool shed and has a patina of age to the iron.
