Unusual very large (10 1/2" bowl diameter) old white English ironstone comport or punch bowl, with a simple, classic shape.
This is not is perfect condition, and shows some spotting and a couple of short tight hairline cracks, as well as a big old chip to the rim. But we love it anyway, and think it would make a beautiful display out of almost anything you choose to put in it - from fresh fruit or flowers to greenery or live plantings, Christmas ornaments or spools of thread, or bread and rolls! We all had different ideas, but decided to offer it to you, so as to keep squabbles to a minimum amongst ourselves.
