Lot of three old patchwork 30's and 40's, from a Wisconsin farm estate. These were stored in a open wood box in a old dairy barn for many years, and all have been 'eaten' by wasps - please see photos, interesting and scary! We've never seen wasp nests on textiles before, or this type or extent of damage. We were very very glad that the barn was cold and frozen when we saw the wasp nests, imagine if we had lifted these quilts out of the box in July!
We have not cleaned these, but we can assure you that there will be absolutely no wasps, we have made sure these have been aired in the freezing cold.
