old World War Two vintage, sailor's dress blue uniform, jumper w/patches

Old US Navy sailors uniform with wool jumper and pants. This is a sailor's dress blues uniform (blue with white trim) and with a medical corpsman patch (with caduceus) on the sleeve. It is marked "100% wool - Contract DSA-100-1044" on the label. The trousers for this uniform have a 13 button flap. We're not sure of the exact vintage of this uniform, but from the Navy contract number, we're guessing 1944.

This uniform jumper measures about 21" long on the arm (from the armpit to the sleeve cuff), 42" around the chest (under the arms), 17 1/2" across the shoulders and 25" long from the base of the collar to the hem in the back. The uniform trousers measure about 30" around the waist (as the lacing is currently set) and the inseam is 29". This is in very nice vintage condition, but the pants are missing one of the buttons.
