Late 1800s or very early 1900s china cheese wedge dish, unmarked, probably French or German. This would have been used on the dining table for serving a cheese with fruit, at the end of a meal.
It's about 6 1/2" x 5" over the plate area under the cover, 3 1/4" tall at the highest point inside the cover. There's a little wear to the gold trim on this set, and a few small fleabite chips to the tray.
