old Sportsman made in France horse tack spur, brass w/ leather strap

Single spur, brass (we think?) with silver colored nickel plate, marked France - rust-proof - Sportsman. The spur and chain look good, just a few spots of tarnish.

The steel buckle on the leather strap has some rust, and the leather strap is a little stiff, and dirty.
