old nickel/chrome plates shower or lavatory soap dish

Old 1920s or 1930s vintage architectural plumbing fixture, a nickel or chrome plated soap dish. This type of soap dish is made for early bathtubs and showers or lavatory sinks. It would also work well with a mud room or garage shop sink (where there are exposed pipes for mounting).

This vintage soap dish has curved metal ears that are made to snap onto the hot and cold water pipes before they connect to the faucet. The soap dish measures about 5 1/4" x 3 5/8" and mounting ears are curved for about 1" pipes and have a center-to-center mounting distance of 3". There is some minor tarnish to the chrome.
