Indian solid brass punch set, cups, pedestal bowl, ladle and tray

Solid brass punch set, with all of the original paper labels, Made in India. This has an very unusual finish, with a tarnish that looks to us like silver, though these pieces are clearly all brass. It seems strange for this to have been silver plated in the areas where the tarnish is showing, and it seems even odder for the silver to have worn from polishing while much of the brass looks like brass and still has the paper labels.

A good polishing would probably help a lot, but we haven't touched it, so you could see the color changes clearly showing in the photos. We like the brass better than the silver plate look ourselves, and would suggest polishing it to show the golden brass everywhere!

The punch bowl is a nice big one, and measures 11 1/2" in diameter x 6 1/2" deep. There are eight punch cups, a tray made to hold the pedestal bowl perfectly, and a punch ladle.
