art metal rooster, all pierced and tooled brass - vintage Mexico?

Tall (10 1/2" overall) chicken or rooster, holding a small fish charm in his beak. This is all made is very thin, fine brass with detailed tooling, all handmade. It's not marked at all that we could find, but came to us with a number of other Mexican metalware pieces from the 70s, and we're guessing that this might be made in Mexico as well?

The rooster is made of a number of pieces, which cleverly slot together at the body. It's very easy to take apart and put together.
