60s vintage steampunk print fabric, zentangle crazy line drawings of scissors

Strangely fascinating 60s vintage print fabric - this is very difficult to describe, and we've spent much longer than we'd care to admit pondering over this poly shirting / lining fabric. Is the print all scissors? And why?

It's the sort of thing a crazed tailor would wear, perfectly dapper, slightly wild, excellently mod! And we can imagine this working in anything from Victorian styles to the swinging 60s it hails from.

It's 44" wide x 2 1/2 yards, in excellent condition.
