vintage silk fabric, lovely old pure silk fabric in watery aqua blue

Beautiful vintage pure silk fabric with a slightly matte finish, like a light shantung rather than silk satin. Very subtle, with a wonderful feel - there's just nothing else like silk. It's 42" wide - this piece is a water blue color - a 1 3/4 yard length. This piece has spotting and lines of fading and age discoloration on the outer folds from years of storage, but the fabric is strong and supple, without foxing or signs of brittleness. We have more silks from this estate collection in different colors, some even have the original labels attached. (This piece has no label, sorry.)
