First off, let me say that I bought this lot of copper pans because they were marked France, and they had a certain charm - used but shiny!

They are NOT heavy, or even of the general quality that I've come to expect in vintage French made copper ware. They're like spun aluminum with a copper plating and brass handles. Interiors have some odd marks though they don't look as though they've had a ton of use.

We'd expect that they'll actually improve in looks with a little more time and use on them. And there's no doubt that they'll work fine for jobs like simmering stock, or boiling pasta water.

But they clearly aren't Mauviel, or Benjamin Medwin. More like pans from Portugal, or Korea.

The 2 quart saucepan has a lid, and there's one other lid for the two pots to share (it fits both of them). The stock pot holds 3 quarts, the smaller pot holds one quart.
